Gathering between the Dean of FAI UMI and the Student Body Management to discuss plans for the General Stadium to welcome new students
FAI-UMI, Makassar, the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Indonesian Muslim University (FAI UMI) held a friendly activity with student body administrators including the Student Legislative Body (BLM), Student Executive Body (BEM), and Department Student Association (HMJ) in the UMI P. Lampe Rectorate room, Sunday (20/09/2026).
The activity, which took place in a warm and family atmosphere, was led directly by the Dean of FAI UMI and attended by the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni and Cooperation, Dr. Rani, together with the administrators of the FAI UMI student body.
This meeting became a strategic forum to build communication and synergy between faculty leaders and student organizations in designing various academic and student development programs. One of the main agendas discussed was the plan to implement the General Stadium as part of the welcoming program and strengthening academic insight for new FAI UMI students.
In his direction, Deputy Dean III FAI UMI, Dr. Surani, said that the Stadium General activity is planned to be held at the end of October 2026. This activity is designed as a momentum to welcome new students as well as a means of strengthening relations between the academic community of the Islamic Faculty.
"This activity is expected to be a space for inspiration and strengthening insight for new students. God willing, all new FAI UMI students, student organization administrators, and FAI lecturers will be involved in this activity by presenting resource persons from external UMI who have extensive competence and experience," said Dr. Surani.
Furthermore, it is hoped that the General Stadium will not only be a ceremonial activity, but also a medium for character formation, increasing learning motivation, and strengthening academic culture within the Faculty of Islamic Studies at UMI.
The Dean of FAI UMI also appreciated the enthusiasm and active participation of BLM, BEM and HMJ administrators who continue to contribute to supporting faculty programs. Synergy between faculty leaders and student organizations is considered to be an important asset in creating an academic climate that is conducive, innovative and oriented towards developing student quality.
Through this gathering, it is hoped that closer collaboration will be built between all elements of the FAI UMI academic community in realizing student activities that are educational, inspiring and have a positive impact on student development and the progress of the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Indonesian Muslim University.
