Opening of the Internal Quality Audit of the UMI Islamic Faculty

Makassar, 18 August 2026— The Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) officially opened the implementationInternal Quality Audit (AMI) in 2026within the Faculty of Islamic Religion (FAI) UMI. The opening activity was carried out online and was attended by leadership elements, auditors, study program managers, and academics involved in implementing AMI within UMI.

The official opening of AMI was carried out byChancellor of the Indonesian Muslim University, as a form of institutional commitment to strengthening a culture of quality and ensuring that the implementation of higher education in all study programs runs in accordance with established quality standards.

The implementation of AMI is coordinated byIndonesian Muslim University Quality Assurance Instituteas part of the internal quality assurance system. This audit aims to evaluate the implementation of higher education standards, identify achievements and good practices, find discrepancies and areas that still require improvement, and formulate follow-up actions to improve the quality of each study program.


The 2026 Internal Quality Audit will be carried out in stages in study programs at the Indonesian Muslim University over the periodAugust 18–27, 2026. The audit implementation was divided into three batches, with each study program receiving an audit agenda duringthree daysaccording to the established schedule.

The division of AMI implementation is:

  • Batch I:August 18–20, 2026
  • Batch II:August 20–24, 2026
  • Batch III:August 24–27, 2026

Each study program will undergo an audit process in their respective units involving internal auditors who have been assigned by LPM UMI. The audit process includes examining documents, verifying data and supporting evidence, interviews with related parties, as well as evaluating the implementation of study program standards and quality indicators.


The implementation of AMI is not merely intended as an administrative inspection or assessment activity, but is a strategic instrument for encouragementcontinuous improvement and quality improvement. It is hoped that the audit results will provide an objective picture of the condition of each study program as well as serve as a basis for developing follow-up steps.

For the Islamic Faculty of UMI, the implementation of AMI is an important momentum to evaluate various aspects of the implementation of study programs, including governance, education and learning, human resources, research, community service, student affairs, and other supporting aspects in accordance with applicable quality standards.

With the opening of AMI in 2026, all study programs within UMI are expected to participate actively and cooperatively in the audit process. Synergy between LPM, auditors, faculty leaders, study program managers, lecturers, education staff and all stakeholders is the key to producing an audit process that is objective, constructive and oriented towards quality improvement.

Through AMI 2026, Indonesian Muslim University confirms its commitment to continue developinga culture of quality, good governance, and the provision of superior and sustainable higher education, in order to realize improvements in the quality of academic services and achieve the institutional vision.
