Remembrance, Prayer, and Gathering of the UMI Academic Community Strengthen Commitment to Transformation Towards UMI 2030

Makassar, 7 August 2026– Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) organizes activitiesRemembrance, Prayer, and Gathering of the Academic CommunityonFriday, August 7, 2026, located atUMI GOR Building. This activity, which was attended by university leaders, lecturers, education staff, students, and the entire academic community, became a momentum to strengthen the Islamic brotherhood while strengthening joint commitment in realizing the big vision.UMI 2030.

Carrying a theme"Comprehensive Transformation Towards UMI 2030: One Data, One Direction, One Speed, One Civilization", this activity is a forum for spiritual reflection as well as consolidation of all elements of the university in facing the challenges of higher education in the era of digital transformation.

The event began with congregational Dhuha prayers, followed by collective remembrance and prayer as a spiritual endeavor so that all steps in the development of the Indonesian Muslim University always receive guidance, blessings and the approval of Allah SWT. A solemn atmosphere seemed to surround the UMI GOR Building which was filled with academics from various faculties and work units.

In his speech,Chancellor of the Indonesian Muslim Universityemphasized the importance of building a strong work culture through concepts"UMI Connection", namely a culture that connects all elements of the academic community in spiritcollaboration, synergy, effective communication, mutual support, and moving together towards the same goal. According to him, the success of UMI's transformation is not only determined by the sophistication of the system, but also by the strength of human connections based on Islamic values, professionalism and togetherness.

The Chancellor also emphasized that transformation is headingUMI 2030must be realized through passion"One Data, One Direction, One Speed, One Civilization, and One Benefit."It is hoped that these five principles will become a common basis for building integrated university governance, strengthening harmonious policy direction, increasing the speed of service and decision making, building a superior academic civilization, and ensuring that every program and innovation implemented provides real benefits for society, the nation and the people.

Furthermore, it was stated that comprehensive transformation is not only oriented towards developing technology and information systems, but also towards establishing an organizational culture that is adaptive, collaborative and has integrity. In this way, the entire academic community is expected to be part of the changes that are able to bring UMI more advanced, superior and competitive at the national and international levels.

This activity is also a means of strengthening ties between campus residents, as well as strengthening the spirit of unity and togetherness in supporting various strategic university programs towards 2030.
